A rehabilitation program was conducted in Baluwa and Sundarijal VDCs of Kathmandu district for environmental refugees who were displaced from the Shivapuri Watershed Conservation Area Project. To minimize the conflict between the displaced community and the conservation authority; rehabilitation program were simultaneously run with the livelihood enhancement programs such as seri-culture and agro-forestry for environmental refugees. Similarly, non-formal education, family planning, reproductive health for adolescent and youth were also integrated into the livelihood enhancement programs.
