On Earth Day 2001, LEADERS Nepal along with 16 other NGOs working in the field of environment jointly organized a Clean Energy Campaign. LEADERS Nepal was also partner and co-organizer of the worldwide Car Free Day held on April 19 2001 on the occasion of the Earth Day 2001 global campaign. The Earth Day 2001 program was jointly organized with the Earth Day International Network, The Earth Day 2002, Japan and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
